Here's something I've been working on to promote a #HearthstoneAccess community project: github.com/HearthstoneAcc… Note that this is not a long-term solution, but a potential (Blizzard-approved) workaround while the Hearthstone team implement accessibility natively.

@guide_dev Hey, would you be up for giving something like this as a conference talk to a bunch of gamedevs who want to learn about accessibility? I'm thinking some of what's in this article together with the things you said it's not, i.e. story of lines of code, why you designed it that way

Here's something I've been writing for the past few months: hearthstoneaccess.github.io/under-the-hood… It turned out to be a bit of an extensive read, but I did my best to keep it as simple as possible. Hope it helps understand the effort behind keeping #HearthstoneAccess up and running.

Hey everyone. I'm back now and so is #HearthstoneAccess! I noticed I have a bunch of notifications, emails and messages to go through, but figured getting the game up in time for the weekend would be a better use of my time. Have fun!

Heads up #HearthstoneAccess players. I won't be around for the next few weeks which means I won't be able to keep the mod up and running when the patch lands on August 30. I'll do my best to pick things up when I'm back in mid September.

@stirlock I'd love to do it but had to put new features and modes on hold indefinitely a while ago unfortunately. Keeping everything working is seriously time consuming as it is. New modes and features would only make it worse - not to mention the huge time investment upfront 🙁

Trying to do mercs again for the quest makes me wish dearly that this was supported by HS access. Maybe @guide_dev will surprise us for the one year anniversary? I doubt it but would be seriously amazing.

@TheBlindMan12V @Celestalon @PlayHearthstone My bad. Didn't run the social panel tests as my second laptop was out of battery and I couldn't find the charger so this slipped through the cracks 🙂 Thanks for the heads up - should be fixed once you run the patcher again

@guide_dev @Celestalon @PlayHearthstone Awesome thanks! Not sure if you are aware, but when playing hearthstone, when someone sends a message, it just says message from:username but doesn’t display the message like it used to.

The latest HS patch is quite complex and broke my normal (heavily automated) flow. I need to find a large (continuous) block of time to work on it, which is not something I can do during the workweek. This unfortunately means #HearthstoneAccess will take a while longer to be back

I'm not that active so I often miss things - as proven by the fact that I literally just noticed everything that went on yesterday (very busy week so couldn't jump on the home computer after work for a couple of days).
