@handolio As well as the chemical reaction, there are also electrons being forced through the material, and bouncing into the atoms of the material which generate heat. The material itself is a resistor. Search for: "why do batteries warm when charging/discharging"

Unless I'm much mistaken, reversible chemical reactions are usually exothermic one way and endothermic the other. So, chemistry peeps, why do batteries get warm whether you're charging or draining them?

I'm afraid I've no idea if you'd be able to see the HP from this view if it was fitted. Frustrating that it isn't standard, but the car's really efficient without it anyway.

All the cars I've owned in 10 years have been ULEZ compliant, and 2 were diesels, for which requirements are stricter. Nearly all petrol cars sold since 2005 are fine. Either the people of Uxbridge exclusively drive old diesels, or the Tories have successfully sold another lie.
