What is there to explain? It doesnt state or even suggest hes an Abstract. It just highlights him as the powerful being he is. Why would you think any of this equates to him being an Abstract? That didnt happen at all. You clearly didnt read the event fully, instead you just saw out of context scans and swallowed what misunderstanding you were told about them. What actually happened was Amadeus Cho gathered a large collection of mystical artifacts that granted great power, instead of using them for himself he gave the power to his trusted friend Hercules. Hercules became a super god but was unable to control the power or wield it effectively. So Gaea rebuilt his body so that he could better wield that energy. It wasnt her power Hercules wielded.

So Chthon stating he is older than them is true for some of them. The Demiurge didnt exist until the Earth existed. He formed from its biospheric energies and then was stated to have created the Elder Gods. They are are stated to be aspects of his very self thus rubbishing the idea that they predated reality. Not even Demiurge did. Youre conflating them representing concepts Demiurge encompasses with them being conceptual beings aka Abstracts.
