one of the best things about asoiaf and why its even to this day running circles around other fantasy is that a character like this one is completely tangential to the story. Your actual main characters are teenage girls, handicaped boy, alcoholic dwarf,a schizoid milf etc

I thought Midnight's story started out pretty strong in comparison to the last couple of expansions but it has fizzled out so hard. They had a chance to actually reveal Xal'atath's broader plans and they chose to do a cameo that three people will blow their load over instead.
