@wtf_rudy @RichSantoro1 @Swervesshouse And I don’t entirely disagree with this notion. One of the biggest what ifs in sports. I do agree Berry would have much better stats with that O’line. Regardless of O’line tho, rbacks still have a particular style and his more volatile than Emmitt’s.

That’s why many believe if you give Barry that o-line, Troy/Novachek/Moose/Defense etc etc, Barry has the record.

Barry Sanders was a better player than Emmitt Smith.

I’ll make an analogy that KD is top 3 of the most skilled players in the history of the NBA, but still not top 5 all time. If you disagree let me know. @RichSantoro1 @Swervesshouse With that being said how is Berry better? Berry is obviously much flashier/had more elaborate play making, but Emmitt objectively was more efficient/consistent. Best bang for your buck, if you will. I understand the O’line sitch too, so what is the criteria?

@Swervesshouse Overall, Barry is the 3rd greatest RB of all-time, whereas Emmitt is 5th But “better player” doesn’t add up Emmitt contributed more as a receiver, was an every down back, and provided run blocking
