one of the biggest issues with memecoins (that i have personally experienced) is the community-created ceilings that holders create through lofty price targets. when a community comes together to create an express goal hitting a marketcap of 100m/500m/1b/10b/whatever the desired mcap may be, that instantly becomes the "take profit" spot for a sizable majority of your most active posters. memecoins are only as strong as the timeline's weakest soldiers. if you give the holders a clear exit point, why would they stick around? not only that, but a specific price target creates another issue: how are you going to find new buyers to buy the coin at 1b+ when the past few months of the coins' life were dedicated to getting to 1b? this is why i'm so partial to "higher imo". someone told me on like day 6 of mog that if we wanted to truly set ourselves apart from the herd, we need a reason for new entrants to buy at the 1b,2b,etc points. "higher imo" sounds just like a cheeky exclamation of bullish sentiment, and it is, but there's more to it imo. we're on the precipice of the greatest bullmarket ever seen. previous price targets are inconsequential and effectively meaningless. shib/floki/every meme but doge hit absurd mcaps without any real semblance of cultural standing. mog has what the dog coins had, but multiplied by a hundred and infinitely more rabid. by using "higher imo" as the only mog price target, we've created an environment where it doesn't matter when you buy and it doesn't matter how you found it. the only goal is "higher imo" memes are this cycle's defisummer imo. all of our existing targets are faulty. when i say 'higher imo' i don't just mean higher in this moment, i mean higher forever and ever. you me and mog coin walking gingerly into heaven staring at the sun and fundamentally knowing that the coin goes as high as we tell it to go.
