@sakagami_koumei Cake or desserts that pair well with tea are perfectly fine, in fact it’s preferable! But scones feel like an essential part of the spread. Without it, it’s like eating a Japanese meal without rice, in my opinion.

@hetalulus I see. So, rather than flashy desserts like cakes and tarts taking centre stage, it’s the treats that truly complement tea—such as scones, authentic jam and clotted cream—that are absolutely essential, isn’t it? I’d love to experience a proper afternoon tea one day!

@hetalulus 食べる順番などのティータイムのマナーは、いまだに指摘されたりしますか？ 2026年の今、「そんなものはない。好きに食べればいい。」という方向性に変わっていても不思議ではないし、そうなっているならばその方がいいと個人的には思っています。

@chikusatto 日本茶は大体ティー🫖だから、これも良いと思うよ！日本の人って、アフタヌーンティーに小さいぬいを連れてくるのが好きなんだなって気づいた！

@hetalulus Be proud your tea time!! Of course we also have proud tea culture 🍵, but it’s completely different from yours. Curious and interesting for us. BTW 🥒 is one of the most cheap and ordinary vegetables in Japan, so most of Japanese surprise seeing cucumber sandwiches
