I want to retract my previous statements about the World Cup. I couldn’t have foreseen how well this would be going. Having all the Scots here has just illuminated the fact that people of European descent built Boston, and leadership has spent the last 20+ years denigrating that culture while celebrating just about every other one. They’ve reminded us what was so great about our ancestors - not the least of which is how willingly and enthusiastically they’ve embraced our customs and their sheer gratitude just to be here.
