You may only find 2 teams in the country that run the triple option better than @SonoraHigh and they’re playing this afternoon in the #ArmyNavyGame Here’s a deep dive on how, and why, their “old school” offense is giving teams headaches statewide. uniondemocrat.com/sports/article…

Anthony Kim has announced he will be donating 1% of his prize money from each LIV Golf event to support a local mental health charity. He has also signed a new brand partnership with the Discovery Land Company and has their logo on his tour bag. This week he is currently T24 after a 3 under par 67 at LIV Golf Hong Kong. He was flagging iron shots again and walking in putts in pure AK style 🔥 @AnthonyKim_Golf @livgolf_league

Honestly always been a fan of @TheHerd but did he really just compare Tim Burtons Batman to Christopher Nolan’s? The take on the draft is good, but I’m sending you back for a better analogy.

California's Central Valley produces 80% of the world's almonds. Each almond requires 3.2 gallons of actual irrigation water to grow. Not rainfall. Actual tap water pumped from aquifers. One gallon of almond milk requires 162 gallons of irrigation water. Compare that to dairy milk at 8 gallons of tap water per gallon, with the rest being rainfall that falls on pasture anyway. But here's where it gets properly grim. Almonds bloom for exactly three weeks in February. During those three weeks, California needs every pollinating bee in North America transported to the Central Valley or the crop fails entirely. Commercial beekeepers truck in 31 billion honeybees. That's two-thirds of America's entire managed bee population, all concentrated in one valley for three weeks. The bees are packed into trucks, driven across the country, dumped into almond groves drenched in pesticides, worked to exhaustion, then packed up and shipped to the next crop. The mortality rate is catastrophic. Beekeepers report losing 30 to 50% of their hives annually. That's billions of bees dead. Not from natural causes. From being used as disposable pollination machines for your almond milk. The pesticides don't help. Almond groves are sprayed with neonicotinoids which scramble bee navigation systems, fungicides which weaken their immune systems, and herbicides which eliminate the wildflowers they'd normally forage on between almond blooms. Meanwhile the aquifer depletion is permanent. The Central Valley has sunk 28 feet in some areas from groundwater extraction. That water took 10,000 years to accumulate. It's being drained in decades for almond milk. Your vegan latte killed more bees and used more water than a year's worth of dairy milk. But it's got "plant-based" on the label so you're definitely saving the planet.

Billy Donovan shares a lesson that changed how his players thought about winning. At Florida, he had a manager track how long the ball was in each player's hands during a game. He asked one of his starters: "How many minutes do you think you had the ball in your hands for the game?" The player said 15 minutes when he had played 30. The real numbers? "A backcourt player, for the most part, is probably 92% of the game gonna be played without the ball in their hands. A frontcourt player - 95% of their minutes is gonna be played without the ball in their hands." Think about that. You're playing without the ball almost the entire game. "It's amazing to me how many players focus on points, points, points. That's what goes on ESPN. That's what gets the highlights." "But if you're gonna strictly talk about winning and you're really driven and motivated by winning and competing and being a good teammate, you have to look at the fact is -- what am I doing with my 92, 93, 94, 95%?" "Am I screening? Am I running the floor? Am I on the floor for loose basketballs? Am I rebounding? Am I taking a charge?" "There's so many ways to impact the game with the amount of time you're on the floor when the ball's not in your hands." This is what separates good players from winning players. You control how you show up. You control your attitude. You control your effort. Great teammates master what they do when no one's watching - and when the ball isn't in their hands. Winning isn't about the glamour. It's about the 95%. (🎥@Coaching_U ) (🎥@brendansuhr)

Billy Donovan asked his starter a simple question: "How long do you think you had the ball in your hands tonight?" The player guessed 15 minutes. Donovan tracked the real number - it wasn't even close. Here's what he learned and why it changed his coaching: (📌Bookmark this)

@ConnorOSul18989 @PennStateFball Fair point, but it’s the exact same team he recruited and built from the ground up. Hard to believe everything he taught was nixed as soon as he was canned.
