@EPM106 Actually this reinforces the post. Balerion's behavior was particularly out of place it had the maesters formulating theories. It's also important to mention that Balerion's act was akin to a dog returning to where it knew as home and not acting out of the will of the rider.

Tyland may be a minor character, but his survival is anything but a minor detail. He makes it through the entire Dance and goes on to become one of Aegon III’s most important advisors. If House of the Dragon has killed him off here, then they’ve changed far more than a single character’s fate, they’ve potentially altered the logic of several major events that follow.
