Some assumptions are overboard. Was he taking too long in the toilet? The food arrived before he left? How long you waited before getting the waiter, paying and they having to repack the food... And he hasn't showed up within the space of that time. You could have been worried if he was alright too, even if your assumption was that he bolted. A call, a text...

Went on date, he said he wasn’t hungry for now which made me the only one that ordered. He stood up and said he wanted to use the toilet so I believed he has absconded as I’ve seen similar news on twitter So I paid for my stuff and told them to pack for me cos I would be leaving any moment. He came back to see my food packed and he said “ why did you pack the food or is this another one?” I told him I thought he wasn’t coming back. He felt offended for thinking he wasn’t coming back so he asked to pay I said I have paid and I was about to leave. He just blurted “ me run away because of 30k food?? Are you mad???” Omo everybody for that setting turned and were looking at us. Shame wear me face cap, I wished the ground could open so I can seek asylum in it.

Dear beloved sports-loving Nigerian youths, After watching the performances of Davido, Burna Boy, and Rema at the opening of the 2026 World Cup—at a time when Nigeria, the giant of Africa, is absent—I felt a measure of consolation. This was reinforced by the fact that many Nigerians playing for clubs worldwide are representing other countries. Felix Nmecha, for instance, set a record by scoring the fastest goal at six minutes for Germany. I write to you therefore, knowing that this country belongs to you, the youth. You are more of stakeholders in Nigeria’s future than I am. I am 64 years old; by God’s grace, much of my journey is behind me, while yours lies ahead. It is therefore imperative that you rise to the challenge by obtaining your PVC, your most powerful tool for driving the change you desire. In the last three years alone, over 15 million Nigerians have turned 18—enough to decide who becomes President, Governor, Senator, Member of the House, or Local Government Chairman. Indeed, enough to shape the nation’s future. I know many of you are sceptical about politics and political parties. I understand why, but scepticism must not become surrender. You do not need to belong to any party or wait for anyone to organise you. Organise yourselves in your streets, campuses, communities, workplaces, churches, mosques, and social groups. Mobilise, debate, demand accountability, and take part in choosing those you wish to entrust with leadership. If you are organised and wish to hear directly from me, invite me. I will come and share my plans for you and our nation. Do not sit on the sidelines while others decide your future. I appeal to you to register and vote. Your vote can shape who becomes the next President of our country. My young friends, this is your country. Take it back. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

it’s not everything you have to defend no matter your bias. How can we Cohabit the same space for days, and you will just be pressing phone, nobody is asking you to sponsor or prepare the meal. Even to do the dishes or cleaning you can’t do? And you are defending such bs at your big age, have some shame 💔💔💔

The tweet is about Nigeria public schools. I'm making emphasis in the north because I mentioned over 90% of the students not being good. In other regions, it would be different. But head to head, I give it to you, only about 10-15% of public school students in the country can stand over 60% of private students in brilliance. Quote me anywhere.

@iLongJohn @kiddmetroysn @Phatbabeluuu The tweet didn't mention the North, so I dont understand how North entered this debate So you mean private school students don't need extra hard work or good brain cos of private schooling Most of the private school teachers are unqualified. Those pupils relied on extra lessons

Yes, she mentioned Lagos. I'm saying it's worse in the north. That a primary pupil would defeat most ss3 students when it comes to reading and writing. But you're here saying it's not true. Smh Bring any Primary 1 pupil from any public schools, all the 15 pupils in my daughter's class will top them.

We want to urge the MILITARY not to panic as we the bloody CIVILIANS are doing our best to ensure that everything is under control. We seriously condemn this act and would ensure the perpetrators are brought to book. May the soul of our General rest in perfect peace.

@Just__Esther It's not o, for you. Now imagine how over 100million Nigerians will NEVER see that money in their account in their entire lifetime. Are you with me? After that, picture what 20million naira will do to such a person when they see it.

You're missing the entire point. Of course, there are brilliant students from public schools. But most of them are products of extra hard work or good brains. The ratio of the average good student is better in private than public school. And if you check out the public secondary schools in the northern part of this country that are not in the main cities, you would be appalled.

@kiddmetroysn @iLongJohn @Phatbabeluuu How old are you? Do you watch debates of some public schools vs. private schools ? Public schools have the best and most qualified teachers.. they'll teach you if you want to learn and leave you if you want to be a nuisance. I'm a product of public school.

@iLongJohn @Phatbabeluuu My entire secondary school was in public school, and I never I had extra lessons. Like I've said earlier, the student will pick what he/she wants to be in public school. I've GF's who teach in private schools, and I also know a few pupils from private schools who are dull.

A 7year-old married man here. And I relate with many of your tweets on marriages. Been with wifey for 12years+ now. Me and her still deh do am deh go. That "marry first" is usually a threat... 'come and experience my own shege first'. They forget no be all of us deh go through same shege. The world is open enough for anyone to be well informed about marriages and relationships from others' experiences before they do their own.
Sir Dickson@Wizarab10

Let me even clear up this "marry first" nonsense. Many of you are in terrible marriages. There is nothing supernatural about you being married. We didn't start meeting and talking to married people on Twitter. A bad marriage is still a marital experience. Married people do not have same opinion on issues. If what you're saying doesn't make sense, it doesn't make sense. Whether you're married or not is irrelevant. Your own marriage is exactly what YOU make if it. It is not the reflection of all marriages.

I ran into former Kano State Governor and @PeterObi's 2027 running mate, Rabiu Musa @KwankwasoRM, today at the wedding of the daughter of my friend and fellow UNILAG alumnus, Pastor Dan ("DaniBoy") Nwokedi, who was our beloved Sports Secretary at Henry Carr Hall in the early 1990s. He told me he had heard that the @policeng attacked me with teargas during the June 12 protest in Abuja and that I had collapsed afterward. While I appreciated his concern, I could not help but wonder why he never publicly condemned the attack.

Most times people forget the economic level of people in this country. There are women who would go for you just if you can afford to buy a meal of 1k for them. Go to the trenches. They f0k boys just for a roll of smoke. As much as many of you got your baddies in the cities, the Keke guys got theirs in the trenches too. And they spend money. But 1-5k spending serves. Unlike the 100k-1m spending of big boys.

Cheating has nothing to do with money. And sometimes, women enable it. I entered a Keke to my office one day and got talking with the driver. One thing led to another, and he told me he has two girlfriends on top of a wife and two kids at home. This is a man still paying for his Keke on hire purchase like he told me ooo The shocker? When I asked how he manages the bills with a wife and two side chicks, he said his wife knows about one of the side chick and she’s fine with it. If a Keke man can cheat, then you know cheating has nothing to do with money.

You're buttressing his points about men not being the head in the homes as they do claim. Men get married and completely lose themselves and how their home should run because they want to keep the "peace". As much as there are half+ terrible wives out there, he's advocating that men shouldn't lose themselves in marriage. It shouldn't be a prison. "When you get married" these days sounds as bad as "you go hear am" because of marriage. It's not a good thing.

One thing I like about this app is that married men who have done 5 to 10 years in marriage hardly talk about marriage here, because they’re still learning. But watch people who have never been married dishing out marriage advice here like they have 20 years experience. Amu is always cracking me up. I just can’t wait for him to get married and do like 5 years🤣

Most times, when you hear "we decided" from a Nigerian couple, na the wife make the decision. If na the man decision, the woman no go ever talk "we decided."
