To take stock of situation pursuant to disruption of maritime routes and to strengthen trade facilitation, ICD PPG & other ICDs Commissionerate held a PTFC meeting today. 👉Trade representatives, custodians and other stakeholders participated and were urged to extend full support for seamless cargo clearance including BTT. 👉It was informed that Public Notice nos. 12/2025-26 & 13/2025-26 have been issued for facilitating export goods affected due to disruption in maritime routes. @Delhicustoms @cbic_india

Surjit Bhujbal, Special Secretary, GoI & Member, CBIC participated in Conference on Union Budget 2026-27 organised by @ficci_india 👉Speaking at the conference, he described the Budget as ambitious and progressive on customs reforms, addressing a wide spectrum of stakeholders by enhancing monetary allowances for all categories of passengers. 👉He also highlighted the move towards a single integrated digital ecosystem connecting all export-import stakeholders, including licensing authorities, to enable faster clearances, better business planning and strengthen Make in India. Emphasising that nearly 70% of cargo moves under bonded warehousing, he noted that the shift to a trust-based, risk-based digital framework—replacing officer permissions with online intimation—will streamline warehousing schemes and significantly reduce intervention.

Patparganj Customs Commissionerate is already aware of this issue. 👉Appropriate action has been initiated and a Show Cause Notice has been issued to the concerned firm. 👉Recently, certain additional facts have come to light and further action is being taken accordingly. 👉All proceedings are being carried out by the Department strictly in accordance with the established procedure and the principles of natural justice. @Delhicustoms

Instances have come to the notice regarding requirement of BIS on import of Air purifiers, including portable air purifiers. As per the Quality Control Orders issued by DPIIT and clarifications issued by BIS, it is clarified that - • Quality Control Order S.O. 4098(E) dated 17.09.2024mandates air purifiers to be compliant with IS 302(Part-1):2008. For small enterprises, the compliance is mandatory w.e.f. 17.03.2025 and for micro enterprises, compliance is mandatory w.e.f. 17.09.2025. The QCO dated 17.09.2024 remains applicable till 18.03.2026. 
• No BIS exemption is available for car air purifiers. 
• IS 302(Part 1):2008 & IS 302(Part 1):2024/IEC 60335-1:2020 run concurrently during the transition period.   • Quality Control Order S.O. 2232(E) dated 19.05.2025 will be effective from 19.03.2026 onwards.   Importers are advised to plan their imports accordingly and apply for BIS licences, if required. @FinMinIndia @cbic_india
