@HammerTime_11 @MarcNixon24 wasn't he the one just a couple of weeks ago that was criticizing Carney for all the foreign trips he was taking to discuss trade deals, while he is taking foreign trips to do podcasts?
English

@MarcNixon24 So this is his thing now? Fly to foreign Countries and do podcasts?
Seems like an odd strategy to win an election in Canada.
English

@TShraid that is what gravol (Dramamine for the US peeps) is for
English

Sadly none of the above for me cause I'll get car sick if I do literally anything but look at the road :/

@GFifdeeP @thenolan @barstoolsports Fighting was part of hockey before the CHL. it is not something that was added into the game, it was only regulated in the NHL in the 1920s.
English

@icesticker @thenolan @barstoolsports If whites are superior, why exclude others, compete & show it, but nope. It creates a delusion that it is based on merit, when it's based on EXCLUSION. It's affirmative action for whites. The fight/violence is bought in and deemed okay because it is WHITE. Whites r comfy in it
English

@GFifdeeP @thenolan @barstoolsports By the time it penetrated larger parts of the US the other big 3 North American sports were already well established and had an easier barrier to entry. If anything hockey is increasingly a classist sport for the well off (even more so these days)
English

@GFifdeeP @thenolan @barstoolsports Racism certainly played its part but you ignore important factors like geography. Hockey which until the 1980s was largely only popular in Canada (where the black population is right now 4%) and a few states in the northern US.
English

@GFifdeeP @thenolan @barstoolsports A discussion on whiteness in hockey is warranted, largely as a mix of where it was popular until recent decades and ongoing racism, but this article is not really the proof of "theft" you think it is.
English

@GFifdeeP @thenolan @barstoolsports yeah I've actually read it so I know it is talking about innovations made to the game that have carried over to the modern game, not the actual invention of hockey.
English

@FireflyFirefly7 @DeadeyeWalt @GFifdeeP @Montana_Mik @barstoolsports no he saw an article title and formed his opinion. Excludes how the NFL and NBA were predominately white for a long time too and only changed in the 60s. It also excludes a discussion on where hockey was most predominate geographically and population demographics of those areas.
English

@DeadeyeWalt @GFifdeeP @Montana_Mik @barstoolsports I honestly think he put some sports up on a wall, threw a dart and decided to play the race card on the NHL.
English

@thenolan @GFifdeeP @barstoolsports that link title is bait. the league it mentions din't invent hockey. It was a single league among many that is important because of the innovations it made to the game that were adopted by the NHL. He is trying to frame the discussion as if that league invented hockey as a whole.
English

@GFifdeeP @barstoolsports I am ready for that discussion, but next time include a link that isn’t a subscription site… thanks for the history lesson.
English

@GFifdeeP @kevinvc15 @barstoolsports Did you even read the article? My guess, no. The CHL was hugely important to the modern game of hockey for several rules it implemented, but it was one of many leagues at the time and not even the first league.
English

@sarobertsonca someone tell PIerre private industry is not lining up to fund pipelines, they never have. It was the government that allowed Alberta to have any kind of oil industry.
English

@EmilyFarina5 @RM_Transit Why should we care about the market share for Air Canada who price gouge customers all the time? A cheap alternative will force airlines to compete which means lower prices and better benefits. It shouldn't cost $300 to fly from Toronto to Montreal
English

@RM_Transit As much as I support high-speed rail, I don’t see the point if heavily subsidized Alto trains take market share away from the profitable airline business. That’s why Air Canada has the bases covered as both the dominant air carrier and a partner in the Cadence HSR consortium.
English

@GamesCage_ @chara_betty The way I see it is you shouldn't separate them. BOTW and TOTK as a direct sequel are a package. TOTK as a direct sequel should be building on and improving the things in BOTW, not reinventing this (that is what the new switch 2 entry should be doing).
English

I think thats a valid reason tho D:
There was a magic to discovering hyrule, finding all these secrets, climbing mountains, tree tops, mazes, finding dragons & a unique feeling of “hey, unironically go anywhere u want. Its ur world” that just doesnt hit the same when ur building on the same foundation for the sequel. I 100% agree that on a gameplay front, TOTK IS better, but that BOTW has more of an aura/feel that I feel Tears does not match
English

Tears of the Kingdom is better than breath of the wild in every single way and people dislike it only because it didn't give them the same thrill Botw gave them, because it obviously builds on botw
Zelda Universe@ZeldaUniverse
Give us your BRTUALLY honest #Zelda opinions. *ahem* Tears of the Kingdom shouldn't cost $69.99.
English

@chara_betty That is the way a sequel should work. Like this is a direct sequel not a brand new entry like BOTW is. It should build on what made the first one good and fix things that needed to be improved, not reinvent the wheel.
English

@Clownadian @PierrePoilievre @avilewis After April they won't have to as he will have a majority thanks to those by elections in heavily liberal ridings.
English

@PierrePoilievre @avilewis They will prop the Liberals up just as Singh did. Your only hope is to get as conservative as you can and fast. We don't need a repeat of Erin O'Toole. If you can't beat Carney the second time around Canada is officially screwed permanently, and the LPC will rule forever.
English

Congratulations to @avilewis on being voted in as the new leader of the NDP.
I look forward to working to hold the Carney Liberals to account for the worst grocery price inflation and fastest-shrinking economy in the G7.
We must make Canada affordable and safe for us all.
