@lucperkins @astrodotbuild @ilesjs Totally agree. I'm not a fan of file-based routing... but if you're doing that at the very least there should be a solution to decouple the filesystem from the URLs. You'd think that would be a given for SSGs but apparently not. I guess people don't care about URLs anymore?

Isn't there a way in @astrodotbuild to change the URL of a single page other than using the filesystem? Like in Jekyll you can simply add a "permalink" value in the front matter:

⚡️ Vite 4 is out! From all of us on the Vite team, thanks a lot to everyone that contributed to Core, pushed improvements from your frameworks upstream, expanded the ever-growing plugin ecosystem, and triaged, tested, or helped others in our community 💜 vitejs.dev/blog/announcin…

@_rschristian @MaximoMussini @ilesjs @nickemccurdy @reactjs @preactjs as for my example: - you have landing on "/" that is a totally separate page and uses MPA navigation to open /dashboard - on /dashboard you have React SPA ^^ this architecture is literally ideal architecture and it makes nothing but sense to use it with an island framework

Things are going pretty bad. It looks like if I start using next it will actually improve the performance :) trying out vite next :) Before next I did all the cool things like remix, astro, qwik and solid, but not having HMR is a deal breaker

@BHolmesDev @hmans @t3dotgg In @ilesjs, MDX files are also Vue components, and can be rendered both client and server-side. In RSS, it uses the Vue server side renderer, allowing you to pass the MDX component as the feed `content`. #rendering-and-frontmatter" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">iles.pages.dev/guide/markdown…

Astro will win because they’re the only HTML-first framework that doesn’t hate people who use JS

@zenia2020 You can pass `base: '/docs/'` to `defineConfig` in `iles.config.ts`, similar to how you would do it in @vite_js

@nickemccurdy They are very aware of this limitation, but it’s not easy to fix :) I played with @ilesjs that has HMR but doesn’t support React specifically yet :)

Ok so wait, have we concluded that @astrodotbuild is here to stay? Should I use it for my personal site?
