JUST IN: Athena Strand's mother addressed her daughter's k*ller in a Tarrant County courtroom today. The case stems from November 2022 when FedEx driver Tanner Horner struck Athena with his van while delivering a Christmas package in Wise County, then panicked and strangled her after kidnapping her from her home. Horner pleaded guilty to capital m*rder and aggravated kidnapping. The ongoing sentencing phase will determine if he receives the death penalty or life in prison. My thoughts and prayers are with this family. I couldn't even imagine what they are going through.
