We are proud to say that our #third satellite - Buccaneer - is now in orbit, solidifying our expertise and strengthening Australia's sovereign space capabilities! 🙌 🛰 The Buccaneer Main Mission (BMM) was successfully launched onboard @SpaceX's Transporter-13 mission from Vanderberg Space Force Base in #California, USA. In collaboration with Defence, Science and Technology Group (DSTG), #SouthAustralia, the main objective of the BMM is to collect high-frequency (HF) measurements in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) to understand radio-frequency (RF) propagation through ionosphere! On the 17th of August, Kanyini was not only successfully launched to space by SpaceX but as of today (19th august) is also healthy and thriving! All systems onboard the satellite are nominal, and Kanyini is soaring beyond our expectations 🎉 🌟 Steady communications have been established from launch day, ensuring a command & data handling process that exceeds industry standards. All 12 passes thus far have ranged from 1.7 degrees max elevation up to 71 degrees! 🌟 The system has logged 200k points of telemetry so far with an impressive 100% availability! 🌟 All the telemetry looks positive and none of the subsystems have reported any critical logs since launch!
