Sorry for disappearing, we've been working on some exciting projects that we cannot wait to share with you guys 🙌

I used an @intechstudio controller where I mapped the size, hue, saturation and brightness on 4 knobs & mapped all the frames from the dance on sliders. So I could move the playhead but still left the particles free to do their thing while moving the dancer on the timeline.
