Starting something new. After nearly 13 years @ Apple, I'm moving on to build something of my own. Working on one main product idea, plus a couple side projects. I'll also be doing some contracting work along the way when the fit is right. Looking forward to the challenge and exploring where this goes.

Not perfect by any means but got iCloud syncing of jobs (Potter tasks), machine state, and moving tasks around to load balance between multiple computers.

Direction of slope is key when you're considering hits, but also frost/dew/moisture impact. Been playing with combining a couple of variables to make heat maps of slope intensity and direction to better power maps in @DewyGolf

Met with a remote sensing engineer this week that maps wildfires and fire risk. Got some great tips how to augment my CV pipeline with standard RGB, but then also add NDVI and other band data that might help.

LEGO-SLAM: Language-Embedded Gaussian Optimization SLAM github.com/Lab-of-AI-and-… LEGO-SLAM running at 15 FPS on a ScanNet scene with language-based loop closing for drift correction. LEGO-SLAM is a 3DGS-based SLAM framework that supports open-vocabulary semantic querying and rendering. It tracks via G-ICP and efficiently builds a map by embedding Gaussians with scene-adaptive 16D language features. Map management is achieved through Language Pruning and Language-Based Loop Detection. The generated map enables open-vocabulary 3D Object Localization.
