A HUMANOID ROBOT IS LIKE A WHOLE TEAM Midea’s 6-armed industrial humanoid robot, Miro U, is already operational at its washing machine factory in Wuxi: It autonomously performs assembly tasks such as screw picking and fastening. With its 6 arms working in coordination, it is equivalent to three human workers. Miro U is just one member of Midea’s family of humanoid robots. On the consumer front, Midea also offers wheeled home service robots to its vast base of end-users.

How do you manage connectivity for millions of diverse endpoints? Alan Tait (CTO of @PelionIoT ) explains why the most exciting part of #IoT in 2026 isn't the "flashy tech". It's the massive industrial scale in agriculture and utilities. The roadmap for global deployment starts here: bit.ly/471E9ke #IndustrialIoT #MWC26 #SmartCities #eSIM @Peplink

Built to Surpass Humans: A Robot Hand That Changes Form Mid-Task The Chinese company Changingtek Robotics just introduced what it calls the first robotic hand that can switch between left and right mid-task. Its name is X2 Shu Qiao, which translates to skillful hands in Mandarin. The end effector is designed to surpass human capabilities. Changingtek says the X2 is meant for applications like assembling small components, material handling, laboratory automation, and service robotics. According to the Suzhou-based startup, the hand uses a rope driven system that works like tendons to control each finger. Its reconfigurable internal structure lets the thumb and fingers shift positions while working. The robot hand uses its built-in vision system and onboard artificial intelligence to see what it’s handling and to adjust its grip in real time. It delivers up to 50 N (11.2 lbs) of gripping force per hand and 10 N (2.25 lbs) per fingertip. Its force control accuracy is rated ±0.1 N, which is well within the range needed to handle fragile objects. Changingtek has not yet publicly disclosed pricing but its existing five-fingered robotic hand is listed on Alibaba for $6,900.

✨🇨🇳China’s robot works on live high-voltage power lines. It climbs wires, inspects defects, and keeps the grid running safely. No human risks high altitudes or electricity.
