چند نشانه یا چند ابهام،سکوتی که بیش از هر صدایی حرف میزند:
۱- مذاکرات به نقطهای رسید که پیشنویسها، نه در سطح سیاست، بلکه در دست کارشناسان جابهجا میشدند؛ جایی که معمولاً پایان بازی نزدیک است یا آغاز یک پیچ خطرناک.
۲- ونس، با خروجی شتابزده، صدایی لرزان و بیهیچ توضیحی گویی چیزی دیده یا شنیده که قرار نبود آشکار شود.
۳- تعدد غیرمعمول اعضای هیئت مذاکرهکننده نشانهای از یک اتفاق ساده نیست؛ وقتی افراد زیاد میشوند، یعنی تصمیمی سنگین در راه است.
۴- توافقی که افکار عمومی را قانع نکند، نه پیروزی است و نه صلح؛ بیشتر شبیه امضای حکم پایان برای بازیگرانش خواهد بود.
۵- تماس با ونس؛ چه گفته شد که همهچیز ناگهان متوقف شد؟ چه کسی پشت خط بود؟ یا چه کسانی؟
