About Nicole, her shield is REALLY good and it costs no energy to use. Her defensive capabilities are top tier. That might be the reason they held back with her offensive contribution sadly.

Nicole is honestly not looking that strong right now, but her release is still pretty big for Varka because the new Hexerei support set is kinda great. Even if you end up skipping her entirely, Varka's getting a pretty big increase so rejoice
