I spent 20 minutes DAILY looking at how 5 major brands use X. 4 out of 5 of them should fire their social team today. Here's what I found and what it costs them 👇 Of a brand with 500K followers. 150 likes per post. That's a 0.03% engagement rate. If you printed that number in a board deck you'd be fired on the spot. But somehow it's acceptable as a social KPI. -The problem isn't the content. It's the brief. Every post sounds like it was approved by 6 lawyers and a compliance officer. The algorithm punishes caution. If your last 30 posts are product announcements. Product. Announcement. Product. Announcement. Nobody comes to X to be sold to. They come to be interested, challenged, entertained. Sell them an idea and they'll buy the product. But what’s a good example If you post like a person, not a company. Hot takes, behind the scenes, actual opinions. Last month they had a post hit 2M impressions organically. No ads. Just the right content.
