Hey folks! super excited to be a part of this community. For the past couple of years, I've been solely focused on growing on LinkedIn, and I realized that's great. This year, I'm focused on YouTube, X and short form.
So I'm excited to share my journey and learn from the best!
Had a great chat with a YouTube expert yesterday.
Once piece of advice resonated with me, and I thought of sharing it with you. They told me that I should narrow down my ICP as much as possible and create a near-perfect avatar.
Doing this has a couple of benefits.
Since I'm starting off YT is tryna figure out who my content is for. So if the initial videos are sorta broad and all over the place, the algorithm doesn't pick up on em.
So this made me rethink my upcoming content as well. I already shot 5 videos, so for the next ones I'm using I will be implementing this.
I'm lowkey excited to do a 1-hour-long in-depth style video. Will share more updates in the coming days😎
What about you? What content channel are you focusing on these days?
Day 1 of building Mondy (mondy.ai) 💕
⚠️ FULL DISCLOSURE: This is my first time buildign an app EVER, so i would absofreakinglutely love to hear your feedback. Please feel free to tell me what i'm doing wrong/right so I can grow this the right way. I'm not a gtm expert, so I would reallyyy appreciate it. And my DM's are open.
Soooo back to my daily update- Since we just launched the website, from now until the app launches, my #1 goal is gonna be to fill my waitlist with potential app users.
Today I spent most of my time talking to lots of people on linkedin, picking their brains a little bit and getting them on the waitlist. Still figuring out how to make this sustainable, because it was extremelyyy time consuming.
Over the next few days I plan on doing a couple more things:
1. Continue reaching out to more people. I['d love to hear what you did/how you grew your waitlist. Without being spammy.
2. I'm gonna create a few social posts for Mondy. Maybe carousels highlighting the pain points + how mondy can solve it for them/ how it works, etc.
3. I also plan on creating a blog section on the website and writing a few good articles in there.
4. Thinking if I should do cold dms. What are your thoughts? Have you guys tried and had any success?
💕 Join my waitlist!! mondy.ai#buildinpublic
@rcmisk Personally I think someone should start talking and pitching to customers since the ideation stage. That way once you are ready to launch your customers are already waiting
I started posting on X 4 weeks ago
- 0 friends
- stalled growth
Tonight we crossed 700 follows
I just wanna thank the community here
And if you're building something cool, probably bootstrapped, you're welcome to share.
Personally for me its the amount of people outside of your circle that you talked to. You should have talked to/pitched to atleast 100+ people and see if they were interested in buying and if they are not you have to know why.
By then you should be able to have a sense of what people expect and what to change
it's 8pm on a Tuesday.
you've been building for 6 months.
no paying users. a few signups. friends say it's cool.
do you keep going or kill it?
what's the actual threshold you'd use to make that call?
i'm 16 yrs old.
I launched my app a few weeks ago.
it is doing $1-5k per day.
- don't know how to code
- solo founder
i'm winning because i'm not building another AI copycat wrapper
this is your sign to build real, meaningful things that you are obsessed with.
if you're technical, have an eye for design, and are interested in building the next Flighty, please DM me.
(bonus points if you're in the aviation/travel space)
@FarzaTV This is sooo cool! Im a very visual learner and if someone litterally sat next to me and showed me something once I remember how to do it literally for life. How can I try this out?
I built this thing called Clicky.
It's an AI teacher that lives as a buddy next to your cursor.
It can see your screen, talk to you, and even point at stuff, kinda like having a real teacher next to you.
I've been using it the past few days to learn Davinci Resolve, 10/10.
@cet3001 Amazing! Thanks for sharing. I will hit you up once I have properly mapped out my systems. Figuring out a lot of things these days so it's a bit chaotic haha!
Love that you’re thinking about this. For my own work I’ve been moving away from “tasks” and into systems:
•Capture layer for everything (ideas, bugs, content hooks) into one inbox, then I triage into product, code, and business buckets.
•Dev workflow built around a single source of truth repo, lightweight issue templates, and small, shippable branches so I’m always pushing something to prod.
•Calendar‑blocked build windows with recurring checklists for releases, so I don’t rely on memory for testing, analytics hooks, or marketing assets.
•AI sits in the loop for code review, writing tests, and summarizing what changed each day, which makes it easier to context‑switch across projects.
Still refining it, but happy to compare notes if you’re serious about building your own system around your work.
You don't need a better idea.
You need better constraints.
Deadlines force decisions.
Budgets force creativity.
Real users force honesty.
The builders who ship are not smarter than the ones who don't.
They just stopped using "not ready yet" as a strategy.
Just when I started to go all in on X they decided to end communities🙃. As of this April, people can't create new ones, and they have halted support as well.
