More importantly, social classes disappeared over a century ago, and at no point in Korean history was social status determined by skin color itself. Fair skin was simply a preferred beauty standard, not a system that divided people into different classes based on their skin tone

It has EVERYTHING to do with class and you're delusional if you refuse to admit it. The poor peasant working all day every day under the elements gets tanned, dirty. Wealthy ones don't have to do manual labor, can afford everything, stay indoors protected.

brazilians come in various skin tones, im brazilian and im pale as hell, and it also just doesnt make sense to put a bunch of dark skin tones saying this in general
