@no_w_here70 i dont get how someone can misunderstand dewey, isaac and the rebellions values so much that theyd think theyd do that 😭 theres ppl out there taking everything in at surface level (less than that honestly. hovering above the text) and its terrifying
@ivanalyze Like I assure you the goat men presented as villains because they can portray the crowd’s fantasy of touching and abusing women… is not a character we’ve seen be on the good side (a rebel) They just exist to prove the point
I think the problem with this fandom is they don’t think side characters/NPCs can be created/exist for a singular purpose
The kid in TTF comic people think is Luka instead of a character created to further talk about the issue and now the goat men HAVE to be somebody we know
@no_w_here70 very much a "why is dewey driving the bus all of a sudden" kind of situation. its so frustrating like. theorising is really fun and a vital part of fandom, especially with something as dense as alnst and zomst, but its got to be based in something. anything
Like I do really believe these are just NPCs created to keep showing you the issue that idols go through, they don’t have to be people we’ve seen before, they’re plot tools; just like Acorn was used to introduce us to Till
i already mentioned another thread i want to do (and started before realising it wouldnt all fit in this one lol) but man. definitely will be going off on one again
perfect blue ends hopefully: mima shows rumi mercy that she (& the industry) never showed her. shes secure in her identity. mizisua lose themselves for a simpler world where theyre together, but id argue they pursued that pre-infection
you could say they all got what they wanted
suas final sacrifice, once again, is smth mizi doesnt have input on. in alnst she was wilfully blinded, in zomst shes literally so. sua doesnt consent to what comes after (though i believe she would), but just like mizi let sua shape her, she holds the power to shape herself
