Hey, I usually don’t make posts like this, but I felt like sharing something more personal today.
The past few years haven’t been easy and has been full of growth and learning for me. I’ve had to step away from some friendships, I lost my dad a little over a year ago, and I’ve been dealing with health issues that make creating art really difficult.
I’m writing this while sleep-deprived, but I often post art without really explaining what it means to me. So I wanted to talk about a few pieces:
The first image is about walking away from friendships (left to right) — choosing what’s best for me in the long run, even if it feels lonely and difficult at first.
The second is of me and my mom, saying goodbye to my dad — sending him off to a better place.
And the third is a representation of me attending his funeral.
I didn’t plan for this post to get so moody, but I wanted to share these things I usually keep hidden. I hope it gives a bit more insight and adds some meaning to the work now that you know.
