I’ve never caught a black. I live in SW Florida. The gulf is really shallow. I was fishing in 215’ of water last week and had to run 92 miles. The ledge is around 125. One day this summer we’re going to go out late afternoon and spend the night at the ledge. I have spots but it’s a lot of fuel for me. I took 35 gallons with me last week. I have a NorTech. Nice boat but only holds 250 gallons. At .85 I just don’t have the range. To be safe I need to bring 100 extra gallons with me.

A family says what started as a simple accident on a fishing trip quickly turned into something else. After slipping on a wet floor and hitting the throttle, the captain completely lost it, yelling and reacting way out of proportion, even with kids on board Imagine how awkward the ride back was 😬
