He was born in an empire that no longer exists (the Austro-Hungarian empire). He grew up in a country that no longer exists (Czechoslovakia). He lived most of his life in a State that didn't exist when he was born. Holocaust survivor Josef Zelensky lived to the age of 107 and his funeral took place today. irishtimes.com/ireland/2026/0…
