How is the author romanticizing slavery just becuse the story is situated in the american west post civil war?
We have no idea how it will develop literally one chapter and blurb. So far there is no slave/master dynamic (it's likely hyperbole from the character since he is "native mixed" ), not forgetting, the characters contexts are part of the post civil war... Did you read the 1st chapter?
I literally don't care for this story I just find incredibly annoying these kind of takes
