There's a lot of confusion out there, including with Trump, that the US has lots of oil to sell to the world. We do not. We're a net importer of crude (~+3 Mb/d). The EIA reports that fact in great detail every week. The confusion stems from using the term "petroleum exports" which includes the bodacious amounts of natural gas liquids (NGL) that come from our wet gas plays. That stuff isn't "oil" and it is exported because it's wildly overproduced compared to our needs. Yes, the US is a net exporter of "petroleum," but it's also a net IMPORTER of crude oil. In other words, the US has none to sell. There's more complexity to why we export 3M b/d of crude (it's the wrong kind for our refineries) and also import 6.4 M b/d of crude (which is the right kind).

The receipt you grabbed at the store just coated your fingers in BPA, a chemical your body mistakes for estrogen. Takes about 5 seconds. A single receipt carries 250 to 1,000 times more BPA than what leaks into your food from a can. The BPA in a can is locked inside the lining. The BPA on a receipt just sits on the surface, completely loose, and rubs off on your fingers the moment you touch it. That's not a comparison I expected. Wet or greasy hands absorb 10 times more. But a 2014 University of Missouri study found something worse: using hand sanitizer before touching a receipt increased BPA absorption by up to 185 times. They had people use Purell, grab a receipt, then eat french fries with that hand. Within 90 minutes, BPA showed up in their blood at levels tied to higher rates of heart disease and diabetes. The CDC found BPA in 93% of Americans aged 6 and older. Cashiers who handle receipts all day carry 30% more BPA than the average person. And when BPA enters through your skin instead of your stomach, it stays in your body for days longer because it completely bypasses the liver. Europe took this seriously. In 2023, their food safety authority cut the safe daily BPA limit by 20,000 times. They had already banned it in receipt paper back in 2020. Japan did it in 2001. The US still has zero federal restrictions on BPA in receipts. Washington State is the first to ban all receipt bisphenols (BPA and its chemical cousins) starting January 2026. "BPA-free" on a receipt is mostly a label swap. The replacement, BPS, is nearly identical. Europe's chemicals agency says BPS likely carries the same health risks. By 2022, BPS paper made up 61% of the European receipt market. Swapping one hormone disruptor for a less studied one. Dr. Rhonda Patrick is right in this video. Skip the paper receipt when you can. If you have to take one, do not touch it right after hand sanitizer, lotion, or sunscreen. Those products break down your skin's protective layer, which is exactly what lets BPA flood in. Quick way to check any receipt: scratch the printed side. Dark mark means thermal paper.

Dahlia Kurtz claims that Avi Lewis would have “snitched on Anne Frank’s family” and “joined the Nazis. Incredibly, this Zionist influencer convinced the police to charge me for responding to her X posts & is suing Roger Waters & I for defamation. Kurtz recently posted, “The new leader of Canada’s leftist party is self-proclaimed anti-Zionist Jew Avi Lewis. Avi would’ve snitched on Anne Frank’s family.” In the comments Kurtz doubled down on her bile. When a self-described “Canadian Christian who supports Jews and Israel” stated “Avi Lewis would’ve joined the n@zis. To my Jewish friends, he seems retarded, is he retarded?” Kurtz replied, “He’s a suicidal Jew. I reject them as Jews.” In a recent interview Kurtz announced that her account has been demonetized by X. Apparently, she has been making money from her Twitter posts promoting Israel’s genocide and violence across the region. In the same interview Kurtz boasts about suing Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters and myself. She’s seeking $400,000 from me and half that amount from Roger. Waters’ and my lawyers recently submitted a response to Kurtz’ defamation suit. Lawyer Geneviève Grey’s 500-page rebuttal to the defamation claims against Waters and me is powerful. The document offers compelling evidence that Kurtz’ isn’t a victim. Instead, it demonstrates her: · “Blatant racism against Muslims and disparaging remarks towards pro-Palestinian activists, including wild exaggerations and distortions.” · “Disparaging remarks towards Palestinians living in Gaza or in the West Bank, including towards young children.” · “Calling for people to be fired, arrested, disciplined, deported, or otherwise face retribution because of their support for Palestine.” · “Doxing people, providing personally identifiable information such as addresses and places of employment, for their support of Palestine, including young children.” The countersuit also calls on the court to have Kurtz pay me $50,000 in damages for the time I was imprisoned largely at her behest. “Defendant Engler therefore asks that the Plaintiff compensates him for the prejudice she deliberately and maliciously caused, by way of $10,000 per day of detention for a total of $50,000”, notes the submission. Rather than simply blocking me on Twitter, Kurtz went to the police accusing me of harassment for responding to her posts on X. I spent five days in jail last February in a (successful) bid to fight an odious bail condition restricting my right to discuss Kurtz’ charge against me. Subsequently, the charge that I “harassed” Kurtz was abandoned. Our submission also contends that Kurtz’ defamation suit be dismissed as an abuse of procedure or a Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (SLAPP). As such, we are asking her to pay our legal costs. “The Defendants further request that the Plaintiff be ordered to pay damages in the amount of $30,000”, notes the deposition, “as compensation for the legal costs incurred by the Defendants as a result of the abusive proceedings constituting a SLAPP.” Kurtz turned to the civil court immediately after the criminal charges were dropped against me for allegedly harassing her. She also filed a complaint with the Barreau du Québec against my criminal counsel and a complaint to the Senate ethics commission against Senator Yuen Pau Woo for publicly supporting me online. One wonders who funds Kurtz legal efforts. With two major law firms doing the work, the defamation suit alone could well cost a hundred thousand dollars. Her main lawyer, Neil Oberman, has instigated a litany of pro-Israel legal battles against those who oppose genocide. Kurtz’ defamation case is one of multiple examples of genocidal Jewish supremacist lawfare. It’s a window into an unhinged political culture. How is it possible that Kurtz convinced the police/legal system to charge and jail me for political posts on X? And how is it that there are people willing to pay significant sums so Dahlia Kurtz can sue people? What lessons should be learned by people who disagree with Israel and its supporters?
