@RoshanaMN @wesstreeting @wesstreeting the “solution” that you have proposed is nothing new, in the early 2000’s, with expansion of medical schools!. As a 🇬🇧 trainee I had trained in 🇦🇺 🇨🇦 and now work in the 🇺🇸, and I can speak to this & it’s super simple, we ALL want to feel “VALUED ”!!!

Absolutely right, yes. We’re expanding medical school places to deliver more doctors. That will require the postgraduate training places, too, and we’ve factored this into our planning.

@wesstreeting Hi Wes, just to clarify, are Labour committing to proving the funding for the postgraduate training places needed to produce 7500 more GPS/Consultants per year, or just that needed for 7500 more medical students? Have only seen announcement about medical student places so far.
