@Yemko_Pryor This is so normal though!! Without courses it might be the first time in your _life_ that there is no major time segment in your year, literally just working always. Your best isn’t the same every day, so just do what you can when you can! I got 0 done the summer after quals 😬

Feeling very thankful for so much today

My PhD dissertation defense is tomorrow and yet there was a time in my life when I thought my life was over after getting wait listed at my undergrad alma mater lmao

The end of my PhD feels kind of like a TV series that got cancelled and the writers are just making things up to pretend like the plot is at an actual stopping point.

In all honesty, the only thing grad school has truly taught me is that I really need to know what everyone else is good at so I know who I can ask for help when I randomly need to become an expert in a new field in like 4 seconds.
