This reflects more on Celtic than Schmeichel. Every player will play through pain for the team as they'll always feel like they can get to the level.
It's up to management to make the decision and trust the back-up.

As someone who suffers from humerus and rotator cuff injuries as a result of a cycling accident 11 years ago, I can wholeheartedly sympathise with KS. In my case, I’ve got about 70% movement back in my right arm. I was a swimmer and can’t do backstroke or fly now.
