Today's Devotional: "The Difference between God and the Wicked"
"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea."
(Habakkuk 2:14) Habakkuk declared that while the glory of God will 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 all the earth, the judgment of God will 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 all the wicked (Hab 2:14, 17).
Habakkuk stated that in the end, the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh will fill the earth as waters 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 the sea. The majesty and supremacy of God will so thoroughly and exhaustively fill the world that every detail of creation will be inundated with His preeminence.
In contrast, speaking to God’s enemies, Habakkuk declared, “The violence done to Lebanon will 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 you” (2:17). God’s glory will fill the world like water 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 the seas. But as punishment for their sin, destruction will 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 the wicked. The way God will display His majesty through the wicked will be by unleashing His wrath upon them.
This contrast shows how God’s glory will exhaustively triumph. For those who conform to Him, there will be immense honor and beauty. For those who oppose Him, they will face His wrath. God will receive all the glory. His glory alone will shine. His majesty alone will reign. His supremacy alone will conquer. All glory belongs to God.

"This is the Lord’s Prayer. In fact, this is the one extensive prayer from the Lord Jesus Christ to the Father that is contained in Scripture; this is the only one we have. In the four gospels, we have many sermons, we have many parables, we have many conversations, but only this prayer. It is then the model and example of His intercessory work as our great High Priest. As the Mediator between believers and God, this is the kind of prayer He continually prays."
