🕯️William Nordhaus estimates that our Paleolithic ancestors had to work for 58 hours to create 1,000 lumen-hours of light. In 1800, it took 5.4 hours, in 1900, 13 minutes, and by 1992, just half a second of labor. Read more about this trend: humanprogress.org/trends/lightin…

The 6502 was the first commercially available microprocessor and its development is a fascinating story. The 6502 was first designed by Max Plank in the early 1960s, but it wasn't until 1971 that it saw commercial release. embeddedrelated.com/showarticle/14…

Unless the audience has the exact same background as you, avoid acronyms. By the way -- your audience never has the exact same background as you. Therefore, avoid acronyms. Unless your goal is to obscure your communications. If so: how trendy of you!

Wait, we added a type system on top of a dynamic typed language? (typescript, javascript). Doesn't that tell us something? Especially if server-side code. Just use C# (or Java or ...) and skip the hacks.

Random advice: From day one prepare to have separate IT domains/functions/rules/policy for: * Marketing/Sales/Business * Factory/Refurb * Training * Engineering Please, for the love all that is good, do not enforce crazy global IT rules on the engineering department.
