I rushed a client project because I wanted to deliver fast.
I thought speed would impress them.
I skipped the thinking part.
No research.
No clear direction.
I just started designing.
When I sent it, the response was cold.
“This doesn’t feel right.”
That was it.
No excitement.
No reason as to why
So I went back and tried doing it properly.
I slowed down.
Asked better questions.
Understood the goal first.
Then I redesigned it.
The response was better,
After a few more tries
It worked.
But it took twice the time.
I get it now.
Right now, it feels like everything is moving fast.
AI is everywhere.
It feels like if you slow down, you get left behind.
But rushing your work won’t save you.
It will expose you.
Take your time where it matters.
Quality still wins.

I’m giving $2,000 to the best web developer who designs this.
If you’re a web developer, I need you to build an e-commerce website for my store launching on 2nd April.
This is a challenge, and I’m looking for developers who are confident in their skills and can stand strong competition.
If you know you’re exceptional, this is for you.
Your task is simple.
Build the website, host is it on Vercel, post the link on X, and tag me.
The best developer wins 🏃🏃🏃

@Marketingninjar How do we know when to be content and when not to wallow in mediocrity??

I'm with you on this... I knew I needed this badly when I fell to ragebait..
I got the impressions but I had to tell myself that this isn't what I want to be known for on X

Sometimes I just casually block strangers that I don’t even know because of some of their opinion/takes on matters that doesn’t sit well with me on this street. I don’t hate them. I just don’t want them to poison my tl. Am I the only one that does this?

@AfolabiDewale I have tested gen and no gen... Please get gen. At least you can borrow money to fuel it and complete the client project

When celebrities need free visibility for their events, and they don’t want to spend on ads or proper promotion, they throw the stone to graphic designers:
“Come and do a challenge.”
And I’ve seen this happen over and over again.
We all know there are tons of graphic designers out there… and they also know a lot of them are hungry for opportunities. So what happens?
Everybody rushes in.
Meanwhile, it gives them massive free visibility for their event.
Now let’s be real for a second…
Are you telling me a brand as big as Moses Bliss’ brand doesn’t have the money to hire a proper designer?
Or they don’t have access to referrals?
Or they can’t simply say, “Oh, I like this designer’s work, let’s pay them to do it”?
So why is it every year…
“Graphic designers come and design”
“Graphic designers come and design”
Every single time.
Let’s not pretend.
Everything was planned.
Everything was intentional.
Even the AI design angle? Strategic.
Because they knew it would spark conversations, debates, reactions… and boom—free publicity everywhere.
And honestly?
Kudos to their social media team.
They played the game well. And it’s working.
Because let me tell you the truth…
I didn’t even know anything about the event before.
But now? I know.
That’s how powerful that strategy is.
Free entry, massive participation, online noise…
It’s going to pull a lot of people in.
But then again… what do I know?
Graphic designers, continue doing your “bills.”
Because I saw someone say they had to pause a paid project to join the challenge.
Bro… let’s be honest.
If you truly had paid projects, you would focus on what is paying you not abandon it to go and work for free.
That’s just my take.

@johndotdev 😂😂
It's easier when you have an accountability partner

Early in my design career I fell into a trap I didn't even know existed.
I would complete a design, feel proud of the work, and then not practice again for weeks.
Not because I was too busy.
I was waiting for clients before i would practice.
No consistency.
No accountability.
Just talent sitting idle while other designers were creating everyday.
That realization changed everything.
Follow along if you are a designer serious about growth.

@festus90940 No one is antagonizing you...
stop taking offense in something so small. You asked for an explanation, I explained myself.
I never said mine was better, I currently don't do videos.
English

@johndotdev None of your videos is anywhere close to mine and you are here talking about quality.. Una dey talk pass una sef gan
English

@johndotdev And how is that a problem. Why are telling me I am chasing quantity over quality.
What qualifies my videos not to have quality
English

@AbasionoC44211 Baba no reason am o... I just dey test things... I won really know if e dey worth am
