Since the moment the Mets hired him, through the good & the bad, I have been a staunch defender of David Stearns. He looks like an absolute fool right now.

Listen…the Mets have not been very good. They have had all sorts of injuries and bad luck. Lindor has been bad. Lineup has been underwhelming. But the negativity at 7-7 over a losing streak is like unbearable right now. I get it. It’s a different team and we don’t know what will happen…but the toxicity after just 14 games is legit insanity at this point. You can be frustrated and complain, sure….but saying season over & fire Stearns & trade everyone & fire everyone on April 11th is just so absurd..people gotta take a deep breath, step outside, go for a walk, grab a chicken parm hero & calm down. It’s gonna be ok. There are 148 games remaining. Please let that sink in.

If that was the case, it wouldn’t have been emphasized that much last year and SNY wouldn’t have shown the stat in the last month of the year, because the same scenario happened earlier in 2025. No one’s twisting the stat - you guys are just reading it wrong.
