The Eddie Howe Out crew is failing to understand that the standard they are using to judge him is the standard that he himself set. He didn’t step into a club already qualifying for the CL and making cup finals. He’s worked miracles and got the club to a place we could only dream of. We all agree this season has been a disappointment, but to sack a manager capable of achieving what he has would be foolish after one bad season. He has earned the opportunity to turn things around. #NUFC

A false narrative! Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta & Arne Slot’s net spend was from a position of strength. Eddie Howe’s net spend covers the transition after the takeover from a team built to Survive into one that needed to compete, whilst not having saleable assets. #NUFC

Very misleading stat - Howe took over a relegation bound team, meaning naturally you must invest more to achieve Champions League and a Cup. - We had no major assets to sell to offset this ‘Net Spend.’ Villa for example sold Grealish. - Brian compares this money spent to Sunderland and the fact CURRENTLY, we are below them in the league. But this money wasn’t spent only this season, so it disregards winning a trophy and 2 champions league qualifications due to our money spent. - His strongest argument here is our current league position, yet this can change drastically until the end of the season. Where we now have less games and a good run in. Still not good enough yet, but context matters. Again he has fair points, I doubt anyone would say there are any positives from this season, but that all it is, 1 season.
