Lying is crazy. Even worse when you know the university is associated with a church.

Update on Covenant University: The family of late 500-level student Tunmise, REJECTED the school’s statement, NANS is now involved. A family source said the claim of an “undisclosed heart condition” is false. That they fabricated it and reached a conclusion without the their knowledge or a comprehensive review. Contrary to the university’s statement, Tunmise had no history of any underlying heart condition, nor is there any of such condition in the family. The family issued a statement highlighting inconsistencies in the school’s release, describing it as unconvincing. Apparently, they requested a comprehensive report on Tunmise’s passing for clarity, but Covenant University has yet to comply. As a result, the family plans to visit the school on Monday, April 13th 2026, to demand answers. Covenant University claimed that the 500-level student was brought in dead due to an underlying heart condition, and although CPR was administered, he did not survive. However, colleagues who took him to the medical centre told the family that he was alive upon arrival when the doctor asked them to leave. The doctor later called them back, asking what had happened, at the time he maintained that Tunmise was still alive. Based on these, the family strongly believes that Tunmise’s death resulted from medical negligence, as the school’s statement does not align with eyewitness accounts. The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), through its Office of Private Institutions Affairs, expressed their condolences and has written to Covenant University requesting an independent investigation. Of which its panel would include law enforcement agencies, neutral observers, and student representatives to ensure transparency, fairness, and objectivity. NANS, led by Comrade Emmanuel Segun Amos, Director of Private Institutions Affairs, will be present at the school on Tuesday April 14th, 2026 for further discussions. This story will be updated. God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs. Military action will not create space for freedom or times of #Peace, which comes only from the patient promotion of coexistence and dialogue among peoples.

Just pause and take a look at your life bro. 😔 Now look at the set of people who left this country in 2020/2023 and look at yourself again bro. 💔😔 One thing is certain, you can’t outwork a failed country.

The hypocrisy is how in 2023 when tribalism was at its peak, we didn’t see all of you. But the moment Igbos started fighting back and cancelling their media narratives,, “you’re too educated for tribalism” started. Oga, keep your moral rubbish inside your pocket.

I used to think ‘being the bigger person’ would fix everything. Not anymore. Why must Igbos always be the ones expected to bring peace while others dish out hate. We tried that before and still got punished for it. We’ve seen threats, violence, discrimination, and silence from

From the reports I have received, our armed forces have been conducting sustained, intense land and air offensives against the insurgents, neutralising many terrorist fighters and commanders. The insurgents’ counterattack is a sign of desperation.   I extend my condolences to the families of our gallant soldiers, led by  Brigadier-General Oseni Omoh Braimah, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of our country in Borno State.   The government will never forget their sacrifices. Their sacrifices will not be in vain. Because of the courage and dedication of our troops on the frontline, our resolve to defeat terrorism and all forms of violence across Nigeria is stronger than ever.   I urge the Military High Command and our troops in all theatres of operation: Do not lose heart, do not be weary, do not be discouraged.   Our officers and men should continue to serve with honour, courage, and patriotism. The government will always stand by the Armed Forces, provide more of the equipment needed and ensure the welfare of all who risk their lives for our safety.   I urge Nigerians and the media to continue to support our Military in their relentless battle against insurgency and banditry. We should desist from celebrating or condoning the attacks against our troops. These soldiers are our heroes; unforgettable and irreplaceable.   My condolences also go to the government and people of Borno State. The Federal Government will continue to work with the state government to achieve total victory and lasting peace. Bola Ahmed Tinubu President & Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria

Calling Igbo people bigots is actually wild. During the last elections, Igbo dominated shops were burnt. In Lagos, some landlords openly refuse renting to Igbos. An Oba threatened to ‘drown’ a whole tribe and nothing happened. People warned Igbos not to come out and vote.
