A lot of interesting records pertaining to municipal golf services by searching “golf”. A fun observation: the city of Thunder Bay had a “Golf Course Advisory Committee” back in 1980-93. There is also a record of Sam Snead visiting Chapples from 1959.

The Thunder Bay District Golf Association shared the story of Major Edward Grieg Styffe. His legacy is honoured to this day through the E.G. Styffe Memorial Trophy, awarded annually to the TBDGA District Open champion. #RemembranceDay tbdga.com/remembering-ma…

J.J Spaun won the 2015 Staal Foundation Open on the Mackenzie Tour—Thunder Bay Ontario. He beat Corey Conners by two strokes. Now a PGA Tour winner and heading to the Masters.
