The StreamElements situation is very confusing to me.
If the financials are so bad that they're now on the brink of shutting down, why didn't they start taking a small percentage from donations years ago? It's a totally reasonable exchange considering everything else about the platform is free.
Sure, they would have lost some of their users, but that's better than losing 100% of them.

as a 13 year creator/manager, the landscape of doing content creation, primarily streaming full time, is the worst I’ve seen it. Creators, I highly encourage you to diversify your revenue and take on opportunities you otherwise normally wouldn’t if they’re presented to you. Do it now. @RageDarling On the brand side paid activations with creators fail at a 90%+ rate.
Creators think Brand awareness holds value, it doesn’t. Rampant view botting, & an overall lack of professionalism from creators & agencies doesn’t help (not saying you).
Brands are spending, just smarter.
