Paul Lusk Jr. is as an assistant for Purdue, which plays Miami today. He was a standout player at Wesclin High and SIUC. His dad, Paul Sr coached Wesclin to a 1990 state title and was a top player at Madison. The late Gary Lusk, uncle of Junior, was a star at Madison and Iowa

This was one of the more candid and revealing conversations I’ve had with a college athlete. What he says about the NCAA is one of the more “real” things I’ve heard. Listen for yourself to hear an articulate and candid young athlete. @TriadKnights @LULIONSBASEBALL

𝗨𝗦𝗜 𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬! @usiwbb heads into Thanksgiving with another dominant win at home! The Screaming Eagles nearly set a program record for fewest points allowed in a game. Sophia Loden led USI with a career-high 22 points and picked up her second double-double of the season. Freshman Lily Graves dropped a career-best 17 points. 🦅🏀 #GoUSIEagles #OVCit

One of our very talented students went to work on a video paying tribute to the final MVC game on Alumni Field after 54 years. When asked to narrate the video, I was obviously honored to be a part of it as someone who was blessed to wear that same uniform, on this same field. I had no idea it would turn out so awesome! Emotional to watch and think about our history to be honest. This will play just before kick off tonight. I hope you all enjoy it. Incredible job Lexi!

Guess it's official - I was caught up in the latest rounds of cuts by lee enterprises and yesterday was my last day at STLtoday. I want to thank @STLhssports, @ChrisGove101 and @overbey13 for allowing me to live out my high school dream and work for my hometown paper.
