I’m all for requiring voters to show ID at the polls, I mean every time I voted I had to show my drivers license & voters registration card to vote. But according to the SAVE Act drivers licenses alone cannot be used. So this means people will need a passport to vote, especially women with name changes. And if that’s the plan, the federal government should issue those passports for free. It’s simple math: 174 million voters × $160 per passport = $27.84 billion. That’s a bargain when you consider a single month of endless war in Iran runs about $44 billion. Otherwise, it’s a poll tax, plain and simple.
