I say this almost every other week: because of his lonely childhood and things he had to go through as an adult, he had this need to be with someone. He found his permanent place in Tj, but because of circumstances, he settled for Jo. He loved Jo—cared for him— but he was never in love with him.

@kai_yonce To be honest, I think Doyak's writing is very straightforward and the story is easy to follow. Jostans actually get it but they just refuse to accept it, so they're living in their own delusion. 😂😂😂

funny thing is that no one can actually deny this. jo was basically used by yw to move on from his ex, only to end up going back to that same ex. that’s what really bothers them but ofc they won’t dare address it and instead resort to calling him “lobotomized ian” #wetsand

@Eleanor156603 exactly. yw used jo as a rebound, couldn’t force feelings that didn’t exist and went back to the only person he actually loved from start to finish. even jo saw it, but somehow the readers didn’t 😭😭

“ian wouldn’t do this” “my ian would never” this is exactly where you’re wrong. you’re not going to get it unless you stop projecting your own feelings onto him. you reduced ian’s love for tj to a trauma bond when it never was, and assumed he’d fall for jo when he never did.
