Holy crap! The conditions are so bad inside the Downtown Emergency Service Center's Clover Place, a homeless man bailed and says he would rather take his chances on the streets.
This is "permanent supportive housing" Mayor Katie Wilson is pushing.

Update: Jacob just bailed on his “free” permanent supportive housing in Seattle after only a few weeks and is heading back to his home state, Missouri He was assaulted @DESCSeattle and saw firsthand the rampant drugs, untreated mental illness, and chaos these facilities have become. Despite his own disabilities, Jacob understands the policy failure better than most: warehousing people under the Housing First model isn’t compassion, it’s harming the vulnerable, the neighborhood, and everyone paying for it. @MayorofSeattle this isn’t working. @AGOWA please investigate these inhumane taxpayer-funded conditions. Real reform is overdue.
