@telefontelaviv He's not wrong. Why do you think most musicians never make any music of their own at all? And, before you rip on SUNO, I've recently been using it and have made some of the best tracks I've ever heard in my entire life. It's an impossibly great tool for anyone looking to create.

We aren’t free in the ways that truly matter (you can’t just pick up and go!), and the trade off is that we don’t have to make aesthetic decisions? We’re limited to insipid consumer choices, and are now outsourcing the human act of thinking.

@telefontelaviv I'm really struck by "we’re just too stupid to deserve to even make choices for ourselves." That sure seems like a viewpoint that an authoritarian regime would greatly value us holding. Perhaps one that's been deliberately manufactured in us.

I think we all felt this in an ambient sense but recently the # of people who cannot make a single decision or engage with any media without first consulting AI has risen sharply and is really a dire sign that we’re just too stupid to deserve to even make choices for ourselves
