🎯Justice Thomas Drags Birthright Citizenship Back to Its True Roots – And Exposes the Left's Anchor Baby Scam Justice Clarence Thomas cut through decades of activist spin during Supreme Court oral arguments on April 1, 2026, in Trump v. Barbara. He forced the debate straight to first principles: the 14th Amendment's Citizenship Clause was never meant to hand out automatic American citizenship to every baby born on U.S. soil, no matter the parents' loyalty or legal status. Solicitor General D. John Sauer laid it out plain and clear for the Court: "The Citizenship Clause was adopted just after the Civil War to grant citizenship to the newly freed slaves and their children, whose allegiance to the United States had been established by generations of domicile here. It did not grant citizenship to the children of temporary visitors or illegal aliens, who have no such allegiance." That's the heart of it. The Clause was written to overrule the infamous Dred Scott decision and secure citizenship for freed slaves who lived here permanently and owed full allegiance to America – not to foreign powers, invaders, or birth tourists flying in for a quick passport baby. Sauer hammered the key language: "Subject to the jurisdiction thereof" means complete political allegiance, not just being subject to our traffic laws or showing up physically. He pointed out that the text even uses "reside," which in the era of the Amendment meant domicile – a permanent home with real ties – not a temporary stay or illegal crossing. "The newly freed slaves and their children have a relationship of domicile. They do not have a relationship to any foreign power," Sauer explained. People here for generations with true allegiance reinforce the point: jurisdiction is about loyalty, not mere presence or regulatory power. The Framers weren't handing the "priceless gift" of citizenship to anyone dropping a kid on our soil while owing primary allegiance elsewhere. This is common sense the left has twisted for decades. Trump's executive order simply restores the original meaning – ending the abuse that rewards illegal immigration, chain migration, and birth tourism rackets, especially from countries like China. The 14th Amendment fixed a specific post-Civil War injustice for those with deep roots and undivided loyalty. It was never a blank check for open borders or foreign nationals gaming the system. Thomas's questions pulled the focus back where it belongs: history, text, and the actual debates around the Amendment. No wonder the left is panicking. If the Court follows the Constitution instead of invented precedents, America's sovereignty gets a fighting chance again. The Framers knew what they were doing. Time to stop pretending otherwise.

If Clarence Thomas or Samuel Alito retire in Trump’s term, keep the Federalist Society away from any decision making about their replacements. They gave us Gorsuch, Barrett, and Kavanaugh who are shaping up to be more like John Roberts than Thomas and Alito. I want Mike Lee, Ron DeSantis, and Andrew Bailey in charge of the search committee for replacements. They would make sure the most lethal, right-wing, conservative justices are picked, more conservative than even Thomas and Alito, if that’s even possible. If we replace Thomas and Alito with more Barrett’s, we’re handing the Supreme Court over to the Democrats. Trump’s first 3 picks don’t have what it takes to defend the Constitution and save the country. His next 2 (if he gets those picks) MUST. Follow: @WallStreetMav

TRANSPARENCY FIRST “They are considered ‘white’ when it comes to counting crimes and ‘diverse’ when it comes to applying for federal small business loans or contracts.” This is exactly why lack of transparency in how government classifies race and ethnicity leads to distorted narratives and bad policy that hurts Utahns. When the same person can be counted one way for crime statistics and another way for benefits and set-asides, we stop dealing with reality and start governing by fiction. Utah deserves honest data, honest reporting, and policies based on facts, not political gamesmanship with racial categories.

Thank You, Phil Lyman, for Restoring Transparency to Utah’s Elections Utah State Senator Todd Weiler took to X today with a message aimed at voters reacting to new election law changes. “Don’t forget to thank Phil Lyman for that letter you received this week telling you that your private voter records will be made public next month,” Weiler wrote. “This is the very reform that he and his supporters have been advocating.” In a follow up, Weiler acknowledged the legislative origin of the change. “S.B. 153 was enacted in response to a lawsuit filed by Phil Lyman,” he wrote. “Due to an existing federal law that was not previously enforced, the legislature was advised that either we needed to pass legislation to make this change or the court would eventually force us to.” That statement points back to 2025, when Phil Lyman, then out of office following the disputed 2024 gubernatorial race, partnered with the Public Interest Legal Foundation to challenge Utah’s voter roll access policies. At a June 6, 2025 event announcing the lawsuit, Lyman framed the issue in direct terms. “The voter rolls are our voter rolls. They don’t belong to the lieutenant governor. They belong to the people. They belong to us.” He went further, tying transparency directly to election legitimacy. “Of course people can look at the voter rolls. That’s what they’re for, is so that people can verify the integrity of their elections. Now in Utah, they say that we have the gold standard of elections. It is the fool’s gold standard of elections. If you believe it, you are a fool. I’m telling you. I’ve never seen anything more deliberately blocked and obfuscated.” Lyman argued at the time that access to voter rolls and related records was being systematically restricted. “Every opportunity that we’ve had to get some answers, we’ve been blocked, whether it’s at the lieutenant governor’s office, at the state records committee, at the courts. All of these things dismissed without even being heard on their merits.” The lawsuit itself was dismissed. But the issue did not disappear. In 2026, the Utah Legislature passed S.B. 153, sponsored by John Johnson and Trevor Lee, fundamentally changing how voter registration records are classified and accessed. The law restores voter rolls to public status by default, lowers barriers to obtaining them, and creates a protected status carveout for individuals with documented safety risks. It also requires advance notice to voters and formalizes that petition signatures are public acts. Implementation is scheduled for 2027. While the legal challenge brought by Lyman did not succeed in court, the policy outcome aligned closely with the changes he and his allies were seeking. And as Weiler’s remarks today make clear, even critics of the reform are publicly tying it back to Lyman’s efforts. The result is a notable dynamic in Utah politics. A candidate without office in 2025 helped drive an issue into the legislative arena, where it was ultimately enacted into law by those in power. Now, as Lyman runs for Congress in Utah’s 3rd District, one of his political rivals is effectively telling voters who to thank.

Israel had already announced it will no longer sell its high-tech defense and military hardware to France, and now UAE announces it's not funding the new French fighter jet. Good for Israel and UAE on their proper responses to President Macron's treachery in supporting Hamas and Islamic regime of Iran.

The Emirates abandon France on the Rafale F5 and leave a €5 billion hole. This is a real setback for France, and not just financially. The Emirates are withdrawing from the Rafale F5 program, and as a result, Paris finds itself financing alone a project costing around €5 billion for this version alone. #France #Iran
