It's not that Esther Yu Shuxin is more suited to badass roles, it's just some people have poor misconception about cute characters and have their own cup of tea. Thank you for appreciating her acting in the wrap-up special of Yun Chu Ling. LGIEF and LBFAD are successful because she brings Xiaolanhua and Ling Miaomiao into life. It's not your preference doesn't mean the actors are bad in it. You will never like a drama outside your preference because you never open your mind. There's a lot of acting style aside from crying. A great actors will do what the role requires, may it be cute or serious. ☺️ My girl is so versatile, from facial expressions, nuances, down to her line delivery.
