This alternative route has been a big cushion absorbing much of the shock caused by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. And every calculation and projection that we've seen assumes this route stays open. Well. You see where Yemen is situated? Once it enters the war and blows up some ships in the Red Sea, then you'll see what happens to oil prices globally. Then the carnage will begin. It won't be $150-200, but more like $300-400 a barrel. A death sentence for a great number of West-aligned economies. - Yemen will be the wild card that sinks the global economy, ignites the financial collapse of 2026 and potentially begins the end of Saudi Arabia as we know it.
