The civil action was brought by Heidy Quah, founder of Refuge for Refugees, challenging the validity of these terms.

2. edited pictures of me/deepfakes ive received similar messages to this up to 10 times. 10 times seeing artificial lewd pictures of me in every form. it changes a girl. report to police, they do nothing. report to MCMC, they do NOTHING! they just need your face.

This type of language is harmful to all survivors of gender based violence. The usage of the word "kegigihan" implies that the survivor is to blame and not the perpetrator. We implore the media to use more survivor centric language that places that blame where it belongs.
